CeBIT 2014: Interesting new Chieftec

For lovers of peace Chieftec company within the Hanover CeBIT exhibition unveiled its new body Silentium Mini. Heavy exhibit includes a massive radiator with many edges and provides a fully silent operation due to lack of fans in the system.

Computer based on Silentium Mini can be quite powerful and functional. Chieftec offers configuration processor Haswell (Core i3, i5 and even i7), motherboard ASUS H87I-Plus, four gigabytes of RAM type DDR3-1600 memory, 128 GB SSD-drive, DVD-recorder, four USB 3.0 ports and a pair of USB 2.0 outputs DVI, D-Sub, HDMI.



It also presents the very “fresh” prototypes of future devices that are not running in the series. The company’s management thinks yet which of these solutions to develop and bring to market.


Apart from a few standard enclosures, Chieftec also developing models for horizontal orientation HTPC-systems. Attention was drawn to a tiny box with the logo of Android. Probably in the future it will be a compact set-top box or something.
