New dual 3D-card will be named AMD Radeon R9 295X2 and will be powered by a hybrid cooler

| March 15, 2014

Today we learned that AMD is preparing a new dual-processor graphics card . At least it clearly indicates “viral” delivery envelopes some thematic resources. Needless to say, we can safely assume that we are talking about using two GPU Hawaii. However, knowing their hot temper, it is difficult to imagine how AMD is going to solve the problem of power and cooling.

Answers given resource Bouweenpc. The source alleges that at CeBIT 2014 AMD demonstrated behind closed doors adapter Radeon R9 295X2. About the device configuration has not been told anything, but we do know that the card will receive the hybrid cooling system similar to that used in the model AsusAres II (pictured). And already based on this, we can assume that AMD still uses two full GPU Hawaii with 2816 stream processors. We also know that the graphics core frequency is 1 GHz. Announcement cards should be expected in the coming weeks. What is the cost of such an accelerator is still unknown.
