Apple chose the main supplier of iPhone in India

Apple is preparing to start production of iPhone smartphones in India. This will enable it to open retail stores here, as well as get rid of import duties, making their products more competitive. According to the resource DigiTimes, its main contractual partner Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.) will be the leading supplier of smartphones in India. As the main producer in the country of iPhone in 2017 Apple chose Wistron.

Last month, the resource The Times of India reported that Apple plans to build along with Wistron on iPhone manufacturing plant in Bangalore. This plant may start in April, and at the end of 2017 should become the main link in the supply chain of the Indian iPhone. While Wistron will be the main supplier of iPhone smartphones in India, Foxconn and other OEM-producers to a secondary role in the event of a significant increase in demand. Apparently, so Wistron significantly expanded its production capacity for the production of smartphones in Kunshan (East China) and India.
